For those seeking to obtain their MBA in supply chain management, we have decided to highlight Apple’s partner and the largest supply chain in the world – Foxconn. Recently, Apple has taken its first steps into supply chain working conditions by announcing it has joined the Fair Labor Act (FLA). However, Apple’s actions are long overdue. Just two weeks after an advocacy group in Hong Kong published a report warning of unsafe conditions at an Apple product plant, an explosion at the same plant kill four people and injured a dozen others.

Though this ultimately led Apple to join the FLA, it brought upon a great deal of scrutiny – and some unsavory results.
